The implant treatment plan

The dentist will carry out a complete examination to determine the health of your teeth and will offer you all the information and advice by conducting a study after which he will draw up a detailed treatment plan:

Preliminary examination

There are some health conditions that can prevent or hinder the placement of implants, so the dentist will determine if you are a beneficiary of this type of treatment and will explain how, where and the number of implants to be placed.

Surgery

The surgeon will insert the implants in the indicated area through a small surgery using local anesthesia to neutralize any pain. The number of implants will determine the intervention time, although the usual unit placement time does not exceed 15 minutes.

Rest period and healing

During the healing period, the implants are firmly integrated into the bone, which is known as "osseointegration" in a period between 2 and 5 months depending on the area of intervention and the characteristics of the patient's bone. By means of a simple operation that does not exceed 20 minutes, when the implant is fully integrated, the closure cap of the implant is replaced by an abutment to shape and model the gum and heal the tissues, concluding the surgical treatment.

Taking impressions and prosthetics

The surgeon will take measurements to make a model, which will be an exact replica of your mouth, so that the dental laboratory can design your new teeth.

The surgeon and the dental laboratory will decide on the prosthesis that best suits your implants to provide you with function and aesthetics that closely resemble your natural teeth.
